Today’s Follow Friday is Babbling Dad, also known as my friend Ben. I have many reasons for choosing him this week. Besides being a great guy all around, he’s also a fabulous writer. Seeing how he’s written two posts in the last week, I thought I’d see if I could encourage him to keep it up.
I am lucky, in that I was able to meet and spend time with Ben, at BlogHer this year. He’s every bit as sweet, kind and funny as he is on Twitter, for those of you who weren’t able to meet him. I adore him and it has nothing to do with the fact that he allowed me to take a picture of him licking the chocolate off of a plate. (Am not posting it now, but trust me, I’m saving it for a rainy day. Be afraid Ben, be very afraid.) Mostly I adore him, because he’s a great friend, to me, as well as a bunch of other people who I adore.

LOL That was supposed to say I heart him! But that is appropriate too.
Ben is awesome!!! But, if you ever meet him in person there is no SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEing allowed, because he really frowns upon it. It may, or may not, have something to do with the fact that I squeeeed in his ear when I met him in Chicago. Or maybe it’s just that his hearing is going bad in his old age or that he’s a SF Giants fan. Even with his flaws and bad hearing he’s a great guy and I was so lucky to meet him at BlogHer. Hope to see him (and maybe his wife, Liz) in NYC for BlogHer 2010.

Ben was my first twitter friend, and he has really come through with some good advice for me when I needed someone to vent to. He is such a sweet guy, and I am so appreciative of him going out of his way.

Issa…you are teh awesome, and I would never wish trouble conceiving on anyone. That said..I totally hope I get a chance to love tackle you in NYC!

Thank you, Issa. You are definitely one of the better things about the Internet. I will try to post more often. Time and imagination willing. I will also try to not let this post and the comments go to my head.
