Last week, I wrote about post about me. I thought this week, I’d do something a bit different. A get to know my readers post. This is really going to be a long week for me (two jobs, packing, BlogHer) and posting may be light. (It could also be normal, because I’m a big giant spaz, but who knows.)
Truly though, I thought it might be cool to get to know all of you. A lot of you have blogs that I read. You know, when I get around to reading blogs, which is rare these days. Some of you don’t.
If you think I’m being strange asking these questions, you should see the things I make my best friends do, when I’m having a bad day. I tend to call it, humoring Issa. See, aren’t you glad I don’t do this to you often? No need to answer that one.
Moving on:
1. Married? Kids? Names and ages? Animals? I mean if you are willing to tell me. I adore names.
2. If you could have any super power, what would it be?
3. You’re given 1 million dollars, what do you spend it on?
4. You are having twins. Congrats. What would you name them?
5. What’s one thing you miss about being a kid?
6. Where would you like to retire too, if money were no option?
7. Favorite cereal?
8. Autobots or Deciptcons?
9. Who was your first celebrity crush? Who is it now?
10. Do you have a best friend? More than one? What’s your favorite quality in each of them?
11. What is one thing you adore about each of your kids? (or spouse. or pet.)
12. What is your most listened too song on iTunes?
13. What’s a new blog that you love?
14. Ever been to NYC? What’s one thing I should see/place I should eat?
15. Are you going to BlogHer? Would you like to meet me?

1. Married. Four kids (God help me). Two dogs (one I hate but she’s not mine).

2. Invisibility. I think. Maybe the ability not to gain weight.
3. Paying off someone’s mother so we can get the hell out of here.
4. Peyton and Brandon. Oh wait….
5. Being carefree.
6. Anywhere but here. Probably up north. Kinda want to move to Canada (my mom is from Calgary).
7. Right now, Cinnamon Toast Crunch. But I’m not a huge cereal person.
8. Neither. Do you know what a pain in the ass those damn things are when the kids come to you and say “Can you make my Transformer into ….” and don’t bring the instructions? I am anti-Transformer.
9. Don’t remember really having a first. Now, Bono. Don’t judge.
10. Yes. I have known her since kindergarten. We roomed together in college. We work next door to each other. She is my soul sister.
11. Everything. Even the shitty stuff because we all have shitty stuff about us, but it’s part of who we are.
12. Probably something by the Imagination Movers. Sad.
13. Ha. I can barely keep up with the ones I already read.
14. Yes. I was planning to move there. I flew out on September 9, 2001. I didn’t end up moving.
15. Nope. And already have.

@Allyson, Laughing at you. Bono.
DUDE, that is a cheat on the boys names….but I’ll give it to you, cause I know if someone told you that you were expecting more twins, I’d have to come visit you in the pretty padded room.
Snort on the Transformer. Bailey can transform them herself. The joys of being six.
1. Married? Kids? Names and ages? Animals? I mean if you are willing to tell me. I adore names. Yes, three, Belly, Jilly and D. Not real names. One 19you deaf cat, Cally. Real name.
2. If you could have any super power, what would it be? To wrinkle my nose and make stuff happen like I Dream of Jeanie.
3. You’re given 1 million dollars, what do you spend it on? I am way too practical: I’d pay off our mortgage and dump a load into college savings. Then I’d get all new, non-cavity-filled, not-broken, totally white teeth. And travel a lot. Or buy a beach house and plant my ass.
4. You are having twins. Congrats. What would you name them? Your Vasectomy Failed and Yes They Are Yours
5. What’s one thing you miss about being a kid? No chores. Seriously.
6. Where would you like to retire too, if money were no option? I haven’t found that place yet.
7. Favorite cereal? Probably Lucky Charms but my list is long.
8. Autobots or Deciptcons? What the hell are they? I hate sci fi.
9. Who was your first celebrity crush? Who is it now? Barry Manilow. I am O-L-D. Now? I guess the guy on House.
10. Do you have a best friend? More than one? What’s your favorite quality in each of them? My sister. Plus loads of other women that I adore. I love women for best friends though I also have close guy friends too. I love friends!
.
11. What is one thing you adore about each of your kids? (or spouse. or pet.) They think I make magic
12. What is your most listened too song on iTunes? Wha? No idea. Barely ever listen to iTunes. Does that make me old fashioned?
13. What’s a new blog that you love? My sister’s.
14. Ever been to NYC? What’s one thing I should see/place I should eat? Loads of times, mostly for work. I like just walking everywhere and soaking it all in.
15. Are you going to BlogHer? Would you like to meet me? Yes and HOT DAMN YES!!!!

@Fairly Odd Mother, This cracked my shit up: Your Vasectomy Failed and Yes They Are Yours. Am still laughing. I adore you.
DUDE!!!! Four days.
Autobots and Deciptcons are Transformers.
1. I’ve been married almost 11 years, I have three stepsongs (30, 26, 23) and no kids of my own. Unless you count the dogs—Gracie and Penny.
2. If I had a superpower I’d be a mind reader.
3. If I had a million dollars I’d pay off the house and any other bills we had and maybe buy a bitchin’ pair of shoes. Or 12.
4. Twins? Hmm. Emily and Grace (that’s why I named one of the dogs Gracie).
5. I miss the pure joy that kids experience.
6. I would split my time between the Carribbean and a house with a ton of land someplace like Wyoming.
7. Crunch Berries.
8. Hu??
9. My first celebrity crush was either Donny Osmond or Shawn Cassidy. Yes, I’m aging myself. Now, I kind of dig George Clooney.
10. I have two best friends. One of them has been my friend since the first day of high school. We’re the kind of friends who don’t always talk every day or even every month but when we do, we pick right back up where we left off. She’s kind, funny and totally easy going. There’s no BS with her. My other best friend (Lesley at Um…What?) has been like my sister for about 14 years. She is smart, funny, calls me on my shit and has the biggest heart of anyone I know.
11. My dogs are crazy. Gracie is chatty (Samoyeds “Woo-woo” at you). Penny is only 5 months old so she’s got that nutso puppy thing going on. But they’re both so affectionate.
12. I’m in an Annie Lenox phase for some reason, so anything by her.
13. I keep coming across a bunch of cool blogs but never remember to bookmark them so I can go back. Lame.
14. I love NYC. For a while we were going every year—usually between Thanksgiving and Christmas because it’s so beautiful that time of the year. I love NYC best when it’s cold. Go to John’s Pizza on 44th street. I’m sure New Yorkers have their opinions on this, but I think it’s great pizza.
15. Sadly, I am not going to BlogHer this year but if I were I’d totally hunt you down to meet you. In hopefully not a stalkerish way.

@Mo, Autobots and Deciptcons are Transformers.
I wish you were going. Next year? Actually, I asked Twitter about Pizza and Marinka told me that place too. She lives in Manhattan…so it must be good.
I’m not sure if I’d want to read minds. Sometimes I would. Sometimes I think it would be baddddd and lead to lots of hurt feelings.
1. Married? Kids? Names and ages? Animals? I mean if you are willing to tell me. I adore names. Married with a 16 month old daughter named Genevieve. No fur-babies at the moment
2. If you could have any super power, what would it be? cure cancer
3. You’re given 1 million dollars, what do you spend it on? pay off our student loans and medical bills and then there should be enough left over for next month’s rent
4. You are having twins. Congrats. What would you name them? Bianca and Margeaux
5. What’s one thing you miss about being a kid? Having someone to take care of me – to fix it when things fall apart
6. Where would you like to retire too, if money were no option? I would love to continue living in Seattle – especially if I could live as though money were no option. Also France.
7. Favorite cereal? Captain Crunch Peanut Butter Crunch
8. Autobots or Deciptcons? huh? apparently I’ve been watching the wrong movies
9. Who was your first celebrity crush? Who is it now? then: Shawn Cassidy, Now: Nate Fillion
10. Do you have a best friend? More than one? What’s your favorite quality in each of them? My best friend has the most generous heart. And she inspires me to be a better person.
11. What is one thing you adore about each of your kids? (or spouse. or pet.) Kid – exuberance, husband – sweetness, he’s the sweetest man on earth
12. What is your most listened too song on iTunes? I’m so happy by the Salteens (yes I have a toddler)
13. What’s a new blog that you love? http://freckleonthenose.blogspot.com/
14. Ever been to NYC? What’s one thing I should see/place I should eat? not yet, I can’t wait to go someday
15. Are you going to BlogHer? Would you like to meet me? I would love to meet you, but I can’t make it to BlogHer this year. maybe next year?

1. Married? Kids? Names and ages? Animals? I mean if you are willing to tell me. I adore names. – Most definitely not married anymore. Kids – 4. Alex, Olivia, Isobel and Charlotte. And Sadie, the wonder mutt.
2. If you could have any super power, what would it be? – The ability to make my children fall asleep as soon as their wee heads hit the pillow. Seriously underrated superpower.
3. You’re given 1 million dollars, what do you spend it on? – I’d move out of this horrible apartment into a nice little house. I’d send myself to college, put some aside for my kids and if there was anything left over, I’d donate it to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
4. You are having twins. Congrats. What would you name them? – FOM had the best names, so I’ll just go with Archie and Mehitabel (and anyone who gets that reference wins a high five from me).
5. What’s one thing you miss about being a kid? – Reading under the covers with the flashlight I won from selling so much Camp Fire Girls candy.
6. Where would you like to retire too, if money were no option? – It doesn’t matter, as long as it has a good kitchen and a well-stocked library.
7. Favorite cereal? – I was going to say Crunch Berries but I bought some recently and they’ve tried to make them all healthy and they taste like crap now. So it will have to be Golden Grahams.
8. Autobots or Deciptcons? I have no idea what those are. Can I just say bleu cheese?
9. Who was your first celebrity crush? Who is it now? – First – Shawn Cassidy, even if he does misspell his first name. Now? Oh good grief, so many. Robert Downey Jr. Johnny Depp. Hugh Laurie. And if I were to bat for the other team, Rachel Maddow.
10. Do you have a best friend? More than one? What’s your favorite quality in each of them? – I don’t really have a best friend. I have a lot of good friends but none I’d cal in the middle of the night in a crisis.
11. What is one thing you adore about each of your kids? (or spouse. or pet.) – My kids are funny, each in their own weird way.
12. What is your most listened too song on iTunes? – Bad Romance by Lady Gaga. How embarrassing.
13. What’s a new blog that you love? – well, I just discovered yours, so I guess you qualify. I get a kick out of the Stuck In The 80s blog on the Tampa Bay.com site.
14. Ever been to NYC? What’s one thing I should see/place I should eat? – Yep, lots of times. I like to wander around and look at it all. I love the Chrysler Building beyond reason and any cool architectural detail that jumps out at me will generally get photographed. As for food, cheesecake. I like Junior’s because it has good memories for me, but I’m sure real New Yorkers could point me at something just as good if not better.
15. Are you going to BlogHer? Would you like to meet me? – I am going to BlogHer and I’d love to meet you.

12. Right now, Telephone by gaga and beyonce – I. Am. Pathetic.
13. Real OC Mom, because she is an IRL and I adore her.
14. I’ve been to NYC many times. I would see a Yankee game (Derek Jeter’s butt!) and eat at Da Nico’s in Little Italy. Service is spotty, but food is delish. Also H and H Bagel is the best.
15. I would love to meet, but I am not going to BlogHer due to the fact I am not a blogger, just a stalker, I mean reader. 7. Cheerios
8. I think my campers might be able to answer this, because I have NO idea.

15. Yes and Duh!
1. Married? Kids? Names and ages? Animals? I mean if you are willing to tell me. I adore names. <— Living with longtime boyfriend. No kids yet, but hope to have them. I adore babies & toddlers, older kids not so much unless they’re sweet and well-mannered, in which case I adore them too. Hopefully my future kids will fit in that category!
We do have two adorable furbabies, a maltipoo named Sophie and a tiny, teacup chihuahua named Squeak. Squeak’s name totally fits her.
2. If you could have any super power, what would it be? <— To cure disease. I lost my father to pancreatic cancer. No one should have to suffer like that.
3. You’re given 1 million dollars, what do you spend it on? <— My dream house and charities.
4. You are having twins. Congrats. What would you name them? <— Like you, I love names. I’ve been thinking up my future kids’ names since I was a kid myself. I sometimes doodle ideas when I’m bored. Since I may actually use my current favorites, I think I will leave them unsaid for now.
5. What’s one thing you miss about being a kid? <— My dad. Very much.
6. Where would you like to retire too, if money were no option? <— Hmmm. Not really sure yet. Someplace beautiful, warm, safe, with lots to see and do, great restaurants & culture.
7. Favorite cereal? <— Reese’s Peanut Butter Puffs. I love it as a snack, right out of the box. What’s actually in my cabinet now though, is Fiber One Honey Clusters. Not as yummy, but healthier. Because sometimes I do make adult choices. Which I tend to regret when I get nighttime munchies!
8. Autobots or Deciptcons? <— No clue.
9. Who was your first celebrity crush? Who is it now? <— I honestly don’t remember my first celebrity crush. Now, Ryan Reynolds.
10. Do you have a best friend? More than one? What’s your favorite quality in each of them? <— I have a wonderful best friend. We’ve been best friends for over 20 years. She’s got a lot of qualities that I appreciate, but picking a favorite I’d say her trustworthiness.
11. What is one thing you adore about each of your kids? (or spouse. or pet.) <— My dogs – their absolute adorableness. They melt me.
12. What is your most listened too song on iTunes?
13. What’s a new blog that you love? <— New to me is “Bee and Rose” (http://beeandrose.blogspot.com/) – what a lovely, sweet, courageous and funny woman.
14. Ever been to NYC? What’s one thing I should see/place I should eat? <— Been there twice, but at 12 and 17. So, unfortunately I have no recommendations for you beyond the obvious touristy stuff.
15. Are you going to BlogHer? Would you like to meet me? <— Not going to BlogHer because I’m not a blogger yet. I thoroughly enjoy reading certain blogs though, and am pretty sure I want to start one when I can better commit to keeping it up. If I were going to BlogHer though? I’d absolutely want to meet you there Issa!

@mommymae, San Diego next year.
It’s almost funny to me how many people who commented had twins already. Ha.
I saved this for when I had longer then 5 seconds to do it. Yay!
