For more 30 days of truth: Day 1, 2, 3.
Today I have to forgive two people who I have held a major grudge against for some time now. It’s not an easy one to forgive, because I have cursed these two people, for as long as I’ve had children.
You see, I’ve always despised these men for their invention. It’s a menace to society. If it were up to me, I’d ban it from the world. I’ve already banned it from my home. It’s gets everywhere, it’s ruined my carpets. The smell makes me want to throw things at the creators. Large heavy objects mine you, not the very thing they made. After awhile, it all looks the same color. Crumbly, moldy poop brown. If that were a real color, that is what I’d say this stuff looks like after a few days.
Today however, I must forgive them. I doubt they truly knew what they were doing. Noah McVicker and Joseph McVicker? Today I forgive you. I forgive you and your blasted invention, Play-Doh. I still won’t allow it in my house, but I do forgive you.
xoxo, The crazy lady

LOL!! I need to clean some hot pink spots out of the carpets in the front room, where my 3yo girl snuck the play doh to play with while I was in the shower the other morning.

@Lu, I know, huh? Oh did I warn you about that???
You’re right – it DOES always end up looking poop brown color.
And the only way I allow it my house is when I make it. Therefore, I know that it’ll come out of everything. Though the smell…. the smell of cream of tartar just about kills me…

@Jill, I think they should just name it that, color it that way and call it a day. Heck, then it would match my carpet.
BWAHAHA! Awesome.

@avasmommy, Thanks babe.
I love Play-Doh!! As a child it was (and still is) one of my most favorite things to play with. When I babysit we get the Play-Doh out frequently.

I’m not nearly as forgiving as you. You are light years ahead of me.

@followingtheroad, Hahahhaha, no. If I were, I’d allow it in my house.
Currently my carpet sports a very fetching fluro green and dark purple spotted motif. It’s my own fault, i bought the crap.
The problem is, that we JUST got our carpets cleaned a week ago, and that very afternoon, for the first time IN HER LIFE Miss 3 played playdoh ON the carpet. I swear, she has never done this before in her life. And picked that afternoon to trash an entire room with playdoh.
When I stop hyperventilating I’ll deal with the carpet. Until then, I can’t possibly forgive. I sure as hell will never forget. But to be fair, neither will she!

@Tam, Hahahaha. Dude, I re-gift it, if it’s given to my kids. They know better.
As a former preschool teacher…..awesome! You are not crazy at all
We’ve played with Play-Doh all of ONCE in our house…
